Parx Racing features the hottest live thoroughbred horse racing action in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The track became famous as the original home of 2004 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes champion Smarty Jones. It has a mile dirt oval and a 7 furlong of 0.875 miles turf oval.

Presque Isle Downs

Longest Synthetic Horse Racetrack

Presque Isle Downs and Casino is a casino and horse racing track complex located south of Erie, Pennsylvania. The horse track consists of 1 mile oval track opened on September 2, 2007. It is paved with the synthetic material Tapeta Footings, a mixture of sand, rubber, fiber with a wax coating. 

 

It’s also the first synthetic horse racetrack that is longer than 1 mile in the Northeast and the first racetrack paved with Tapeta in the United States. The casino itself operates table games along with 2,000 slot machines.

The Meadows Racetrack & Casino

Harness Racing in PA over 200 Days a Year!

Enjoy harness racing at its finest at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino!  Located just south of Pittsburgh, the race track is a much-visited attraction for both locals and out-of-town visitors.  Unlike many other horse racing tracks in the country, Meadows holds races all year round, with approximately 200 days of live racing per year.

 

Racing is primarily conducted on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.  Evening cards are usually on Wednesdays and Fridays.  When it comes to horse racing in PA, there is no better place to go!  The racetrack/casino is conveniently located on Exit 41 right off I-79.
